LINCOLN Ranks No. 1 in Dependability Study
LINCOLN took the top spot for the first time in a closely watched survey of long-term vehicle quality, J.D. Power and Associates said Thursday. J.D. Power and Associates said Ford's luxury brand leads its annual vehicle dependability survey for 2011. Lexus came in as No. 2 in the study, followed by Jaguar, Porsche and Toyota. The study measures problems experienced by the original owners of vehicles after three years. In last year's study, Porsche had the fewest problems, while LINCOLN ranked second. LINCOLN Climbs to Top of J.D. Power 2010 Vehicle Dependability Study
J.D. Power and Associates has just released its 2010 Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS)... and Porsche, LINCOLN and Buick have climbed on the podium (Buick, Jaguar and Lexus occupied the top spots in last year's 2009 Vehicle Dependability Study). The German automaker demonstrated a significant jump in quality (up ten spots) with Ford's brand hot on its heels (up six positions). While Buick dropped down, its score was indicative of improved quality – however, the bar had been raised.

Ford's LINCOLN MKT crossover SUV rides high with inner style
Oh, LINCOLN MKT, how we would love to loathe thee for thy overwrought grille, gratuitous sheet-metal bump, compromised third-row headroom.
But we just can't.
LINCOLN MKT, in case you've lost your way in LINCOLN's thicket of MK-something nomenclature, is the LINCOLN version of Ford Flex; a full-size crossover SUV.
Usually, hopping back and forth between a Ford and the equivalent LINCOLN vehicle leaves you wondering what's the point of the LINCOLN.
The Ford's generally as nice if you lard on the options, and hardly anybody has been taking LINCOLN seriously as a status brand.

LINCOLN MKT has sleek, curvy profile
The all-new 2010 LINCOLN MKT has arrived, giving LINCOLN its first entry in the large premium crossover market, a burgeoning segment that is fast taking the place of the traditional full-size luxury SUV.
And even though the LINCOLN MKT is built on the same architecture as the Ford Flex, the exterior is so different that it’s hard to imagine these two vehicles are related.

NPLM's Star Studded Premier Party!
North Park LINCOLN, located on 9207 San Pedro in San Antonio, hosted their “Star-Studded Premier Party” on October 15th to introduce LINCOLN’s all-new luxury crossover, the 2010 LINCOLN MKT, and also their all-new Ecoboost engines. Over 800 current North Park customers attended, enjoying an evening of food, drink, music, and learning about LINCOLN’s great new vehicles.
The 2010 LINCOLN MKT extends the benefits, literally, offered by our other top-selling luxury crossover, the LINCOLN MKX. It does so with a standard 3rd row seat and an unbelievable list of other standard features, including SYNC voice-activated Bluetooth and iPod technology, dashboard touch screen with audio / climate controls, rear view camera, push-button start, premium leather interior plus heated and cooled front seats, full length glass Vista Roof, power liftgate, adaptive HID headlamps, tri-zone automatic climate control, Sirius satellite radio, and some of the industry’s most advanced safety systems (Safety Canopy with side airbags and roll stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, AdvanceTrac).
Ford’s Ecoboost engines challenge the notion that power, low emissions and excellent fuel economy can’t exist together. Coupled with an electronic 6-speed automatic transmission, the new LINCOLNs offer a 355 hp 3.5L EcoBoost V6 with twin turbochargers and direct injection, delivering V8 performance AND best-in-class fuel economy.
North Park LINCOLN, America’s #1 LINCOLN Mercury retailer and President’s Award winner (Ford Motor’s highest customer satisfaction honor) would like to thank all who attended and helped out with the party. We’d also like to tell all of our valued customers over the years that we sincerely appreciate their business and friendship!

Inside, the vehicle oozes
luxury, with quality materials
and hand-stitched

Mercury Milan Hybrid Great on Gas!
There’s finally a great alternative
to the Toyota Camry hybrid:
Mercury has rolled out a
gasoline-electric version of its
redesigned Milan midsize sedan
for 2010, and it’s quite a pleasant
surprise.
With a starting price of just
$27,855 (plus $725 freight), this
beautifully styled car has ample
room for five people, one of
the best-laid-out interiors I’ve
seen lately in a family sedan,
and fuel economy that knocks
the pants off the Camry.
The Milan hybrid is EPA
rated at 41 mpg in the city and
36 on the highway, which easily
beats the Camry hybrid’s 33
city/34 highway ratings.
Milan even beats the new
Honda Insight compact hybrid’s
city rating, which is 40 mpg, although
the Insight does score a
higher number for highway
driving, 43 mpg. (Honda no
longer offers an Accord hybrid,
but when it last did — 2007 —
its mileage was paltry in comparison
with the Milan.

Capturing Competitive Owners
Sales Consultant Juan Martinez has been at North Park LINCOLN in San Antonio, Texas, for 10
years. And despite the slowing of car sales across
all manufacturers, he is seeing unprecedented
excitement.
"The print and television advertising has really
raised awareness,” says Juan. “I have many new
LINCOLN MKS customers who first came in because
they were intrigued by the ads, and then they
started doing their own research. They're impressed
enough by LINCOLN MKS styling and its list
of features to come drive one."
